Trail 223 - Gum Pond Area Trail

This is another trail that is really a converted road. The road is only open to horses and hikers, it doesn't make for a very interesting hike, but serves its purpose to get you from the end of TR210 back to the other trails. The trail is 1.8 to 1.9 miles long. It runs from the Gum Pond Cemetery Trailhead to TR208 and TR224. TR210 branches off on the east side of the trail. The trail is as wide as a road and level, the clearings probably provide good habitat for flower in the spring and fall. The trail is easy and gets a two star rating.
