There are three trail clubs or groups that provide group hiking opportunities that you might be interested in:
Appalachian Trail Club of Alabama, they spend a lot of time on the Pinhoti.
Sierra Club: Alabama Chapter: Cahaba Group, sponsors hikes around Alabama.
The Vulcan Trail Association, a hiking club based in Birmingham.
